An infectious disease specialist went on Fox News late Wednesday and unveiled the 'game changing' results he's seeing treating coronavirus patients at the Smith Center for Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Stephen Smith revealed that of all the patients he's treated with hydroxychloroquine, not a single one has required intubation with a ventilator.
“[N]o person [who] has received five days or more of the hydroxychloroquine combination has been intubated. The chance of that occurring by chance … are .000 something. It’s ridiculously low, no matter how you look at it," Dr. Smith said.
Fox News' Laura Ingraham was overwhelmed to hear the incredible development. Take a look:
“It’s absolutely a game-changer,” Dr. Smith added.
“Laura, I think this is the beginning of the end. Of the pandemic." The French data that Dr. Smith was referring to was a study that found a combination of hydroxychloroquine and the antibiotic azithromycin is an amazing treatment for COVID patients. Unfortunately many on the left have dismissed the study, simply because it was touted by Trump as a promising treatment for patients. It turns out the Democrats care more about stoking panic and smearing Trump than they do about actually finding a cure.
Some leftist officials have even gone as far as to ban hydroxychloroquine’s use, leaving the people who elected them with no good means to fight back against the virus.
Many people are understandably very upset that certain Democratic governor's are banning the promising medication, saying patients who are about to die should be able to try the treatment if they so desire.
Laura Ingraham actually revealed that many doctors both in the U.S. and abroad are already taking a 5 to 10 day course of hydroxychloroquine.
She then went on to call on President Trump to issue an executive order mandating that hydroxychloroquine be mass produced.
Will this be the miracle cure that the world has been desperately waiting for? Only time will tell, but Dr. Smith's finding appear extremely promising.
Meanwhile continued prayers for our nation and for President Trump as we tread through this crisis together.
